Your shower is the bigger one
Modern Savage
Most people who care about this stuff filter their drinking water, and that is the easy half. The other half is the one almost nobody thinks about.
Most tap water is treated with chlorine to keep it safe, and it works. But chlorine leaves the water when it is heated, as gas, and a hot shower in a small bathroom with the door shut is a very efficient way of turning a morning's worth of it into steam and breathing it in for ten minutes. You also absorb some of it through warm, open skin, which is why a swimming pool leaves you smelling the way it does.
We believe that if you would not drink a glass of it, you probably do not want to stand in a cloud of it either.
The fix costs less than a decent pair of trainers. A shower-head filter screws onto the existing pipe in five minutes and needs a cartridge change every few months. The drinking water filter you probably already have. Do the shower next.
