When life gets in the way
Bear Grylls
The programme bends before it breaks. Ninety days will contain a 6am flight, a sick child, and a week where work eats everything. Planned for, none of it ends anything.
Early starts and shift work. The order matters less than the doing. Walk and soul time before work if you can. If you can’t, they move to whatever break you get, and the stretch moves to the evening. The cold goes with whichever shower you take.
Travelling. The minimum viable day: ten minute walk, ten minutes for your soul, nose breathing, the best food you can find. The session needs a floor, not a gym, and hotel rooms have floors.
Ill. Stop training. Keep the walk if your body says yes, keep the soul time, drink salted water, sleep. Mark the sick days on the grid with a line, not a cross: paused, not failed. When it lifts, restart at full standard and add the missed days to the end. The ninety days is you finishing it, not the calendar.
Money. Real food on a budget is eggs, liver, frozen fish, cheap cuts cooked slow, potatoes, rice, and whatever vegetables cost least this week. Grass fed mince is the cheapest door into good meat. The expensive versions are upgrades, not entry requirements.
